All prices are as stated on the website but we reserve the right at any time to revise the price of goods without notice. We have taken care in preparing the content of this website to ensure all Bessie’s Yorkshire Preserves have been fairly described and photographed accordingly. However, actual goods may slightly differ to those described. Weights are approximate.

It is our responsibility to supply you with goods that meet your consumer rights. If you have any concerns in which we have not met our legal obligations, please let us know.  

Our products are homemade in small batches, so therefore consistencies can vary from batch to batch. 

When you place your order, we will review it and put it through for processing. We are unable to amend any orders once they have been placed so please check your address and order details are correct before you place your order.  


We accept payment online by Maestro, Solo, Electron, Visa, and MasterCard. Your payment is processed via a fully authorised Payment Service which ensures that all your information remains totally confidential. In fact we never see any of the card number ourselves.

Payment is taken as you place your order and if the payment does not authorise successfully, your order will not be processed. Please check that you receive not only a confirmation of your order but also a confirmation of your payment by email. If you have not received one of these, your order may not have been placed successfully.


Please call us as soon as possible after placing your order on 07973566221 and we can see what we can do. Once we have dispatched your order, we cannot offer a refund.


If you are at all unhappy with your preserves you can send them back. You can return a product for a full refund up to 14 days after purchase. To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unopened and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To return your product please email with your order details and reason for return.

You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item. We do not refund the original shipping cost you paid on the order.


Once your return is received and inspected we will send you an email to notify you of the approval or rejection of the refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.


We only replace items if they are defective or damaged during delivery. If your items come to your door damaged, please contact us at and we will help you with whatever queries you have. 


Orders placed on Monday – Wednesday will be dispatched within 3 to 5 working days. Please note we operate a Monday – Thursday working week so all orders placed on Thursday – Sunday will be dispatched on Monday. 

Please note we do not dispatch on a Friday as UPS, our courier service, does not operate on weekends. 

Please also note we do not dispatch our preserves on Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays. Any orders received on a Friday will be dispatched the following Monday. Orders received on a bank holiday will be processed the next working day.


We use Royal Mail as our courier for all standard orders of 3 or less jars.  These are sent on second class service.

All orders of 4 or more jars are sent using UPS. You will be sent a tracking link when your order is dispatched.  

Next day courier service is sent via UPS. You will be sent a tracking link when your order is dispatched.  

To some parts of Scotland and offshore islands, delivery can take longer.

At busy times of the year, delivery times may be extended. Please make sure that your delivery address & postcode are correct as we will not be responsible for our couriers delivering at the wrong address if you have entered the wrong one at checkout.
